Our recent trip began with the gentle blessing of rain, setting a perfect tone for our ride to Alamparai Fort. With two teams, we were briefed by our captain, who made sure everyone was ready and excited for the journey ahead. The weather welcomed us with a light drizzle, adding a touch of magic to the start of our adventure.
Â
We gathered early in the morning at a teashop in Guduvanchery, where we had a quick tea and conducted some last-minute checks on our bikes. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation, as we set off, taking the scenic long route towards Alamparai Fort. Our route was carefully chosen to maximize the pleasure of the ride, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the main roads and allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the journey.
Â
Our first stop was at a quaint teashop along the way. Here, we took a short rest, stretched our legs. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie as we shared stories and laughter over steaming cups of tea.
Â
As we continued our ride, we entered the enchanting Auroville Forest with breathtaking landscape of trees on both sides creating a natural tunnel that enveloped us in greenery. The fresh, earthy scent of the forest combined with the light drizzle made for an unforgettable experience. The ride through this serene and picturesque environment was truly the highlight of our journey. Exiting the forest, we found ourselves on the scenic East Coast Road (ECR) that added a new dimension to our ride. Our second stop was for breakfast at a charming restaurant along the ECR.
Â
The delicious traditional South Indian dishes like idli, venpongal, medu vada & poori re-energized us for the remainder of our trip.
Â
With our stomachs full and spirits high, we resumed our journey. The fort, majestically facing the sea, greeted us with its serene beauty. The sight of the ancient ruins against the backdrop of the sparkling blue waters was mesmerizing. We took this opportunity to have a small introduction session with our team members, sharing our excitement and experiences so far. This was followed by a photo session to capture the memories of our wonderful journey.
Â
After exploring the fort and soaking in its historical charm, we started our return journey. Rejoining the ECR road, we encountered some maintenance and expansion work, which gave the road a bit of an off-road feel. Despite these hurdles, the spirit of adventure kept us going, and we enjoyed the ride back, navigating through the bumpy patches with ease.
Â
At final stop, we took a moment to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.
Â
The journey had been a perfect blend of scenic beauty, historical exploration, and the joy of riding together. As the ride came to a close, everyone reached home safely, bringing our adventurous and scenic trip to a satisfying end. thrill of the open road.
Â
It was a day filled with beautiful memories, new friendships, and the thrill of the open road.
