Whenever one comes across the name ‘Honda’ , the first thing that comes to the mind is ‘reliability’. This actually sums up my entire experience with the Honda Hness for the last 3 years of ownership. In Oct 2021, I had decided to own a cruiser bike and my only choice and preference was the Honda Hness that was launched in 2020. For somebody who never preferred the RE cruisers earlier, the Honda Hness was different and one test ride was enough to seal the deal.
Â
Coming from a Honda CBR250R, the Hness was a totally different breed of a machine and I kept my expectations low from the beginning. The 350 CC engine was a laidback warrior that was geared tall to suit city conditions but my usage was restricted only to the highways. I was in for a surprise when the bike turned out to be an incredible mile-muncher, as this engine remained smooth as butter above speeds of 90 up to 110 kmph. This speed band is a great place to be when mile munching across the highways of our country in safety and swiftness. The engine is also eager to push through to 120 kmph which is when mild vibes start creeping in at the handlebars. But the Hness just soldiers on at 120 speeds for long stretches without breaking a sweat and this is truly appreciable of this 20BHP motor.
Â
As much as the 20BHP motor tries to make me happy at highway speeds, this engine lets you down during high speed overtakes or when you need sudden bursts of acceleration, especially when the engine is settled at 4th or the 5th gear. There is only a limited supply of torque at the 3rd and 4th gear and this clearly shows when you are at 4k rpm or above; while the 5th gear is just an overdrive gear with almost nothing to offer. But this scenario will not be bothersome for those who prefer to take it easy on the throttle and live life below 100kmph.

Over the last three years, my ‘Rex’ has been a reliable partner on my adventures no matter what and not once has he let me down. All he needs is a timely dose of fresh fluids and greasing, service I mean and he is good to go the miles. This bike has not just taken me places but given me great friends who I now call the Renegade brothers. You shall be missed, my dear friend ‘Rex’.
Ride With Pride!

Well said. Most of the Honda riders would appreciate and resonate a similar experience.
