Ride to the temple of angels
Published: September 26, 2024

After nearly two years of motorcycle rides to various destinations, I often felt a sense of emptiness within myself. While riding with friends and in groups was enjoyable, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing—purpose.

The next question became: How do I identify that purpose? It needed to involve offering support, meaningful interactions with emotions, and making a potential impact on others’ lives. The answer came to me: visiting an old age home or an orphanage.

I shared the idea of a ride to an orphanage, which we fondly referred to as the ‘Temple of Angels,’ with my riding buddies. They embraced the idea wholeheartedly, and we decided to sponsor a meal for the children. We also reached out to other fellow riders in the group for contributions. Within a week, the response was overwhelming, enabling us to provide stationery, toiletries for a month, and recreational sports items.

On March 10, 2024, a group of 30 members, including riders and some of the family members set out for the Temple of Angels. To our surprise, we were greeted by around 50 children aged between 10 to 17 years old. Their curiosity about our bikes was palpable—some took pictures while others eagerly inquired  about the specifications. Some children were enthralled by our riding gear.

The interaction sparked a beautiful exchange; we planted seeds of dreams in their lives and motivated them to strive for greatness. The ladies participated whole heartedly in the interaction and made it special for the children.

After serving them breakfast, we gathered for a Q&A session on riding. It began with one of our buddies playing the guitar, and we discovered the children were remarkably talented in music and art. What was initially intended as a 30-minute session extended to an hour.
Initially, we had anticipated mixed emotions from the children—sadness, loneliness, longing for families, uncertainty about their future, and feelings of abandonment or neglect. However, to our surprise, they exuded self-respect and showed no signs of resentment. We were impressed by their discipline, camaraderie, and the warmth they extended towards us from the moment we arrived until we departed.

The three golden hours spent with the children fostered a deep connection, and we left with heavy hearts, promising to return. None of this would have been possible without the generous donations and participation of my riding buddies. It’s moments like these that truly exemplify the brotherhood we share.

Ride With Pride!

One of the most important activity of CR that wil stay close to our hearts forever. Indeed it was an eventful day for us to meet the kids and share the joy. Giving back to community is one of the key focus of the CR.
